Le fameux teasing AMD et son compte à rebours a enfin sa réponse. Il s’agissait bien, comme le supposait OMF, d’annoncer les prochains CPU mobiles de la marque. Des APU mobiles Kaveri.
Pour marquer cet événement, AMD a marqué le coup avec une vidéo. Un ballon gonflé à l’hélium, parti d’Allemagne, près de Munich, a décollé avec à son bord un nouvel APU A-Series d’AMD, destiné aux ordinateurs portables. Celui-ci a atteint les 36 240 mètres, ayant volé pendant 1 heure et 47 minutes avant de redescendre sur Terre.
Tout ayant été filmé en HD, afin de garder trace de l’événement.

Les premiers ordinateurs portables équipés de cet APU devraient être disponibles d’ici mi-juin dont un Acer, partenaire AMD.
